Project Name: Tabcorp Melbourne Office.
Project Location/Address: Tower 2,727 Collins Street, Melbourne.
Number of Levels: 4
Approx. Contract Value: $4,250,000.00
Period of Project Execution: April 2017 to September 2017.
The project brief was to provide a state-of-the-art electrical services installation which meets the direction provided by Tabcorp, JLL, ECM and PTID. The key scope features for the project was a centralised main communications room, upgrade of power distribution to the floors both general / UPS and generator, fit out of a fully functioning TV studio, executive area, technical R&D areas and general and feature lighting throughout.
ENGIE was invited by JLL as the builder to provide a fixed lump sum tender response for the Tabcorp Project. The tender period was short and intense. A considerable amount of due diligence and scope clarity was completed to provide the most cost effective and comprehensive price to JLL. Alongside a conforming tender response ENGIE provided a substantial alternative value management package to help maintain the clients budget integrity. ENGIE completed an internal lighting control, lighting layout and fitting selection re design, along with an alternate UPS and hot isle containment system. A substantial cable containment and support system overhaul and design was also provided.
Tabcorp WOW factor: Tabcorp is a tech company at its core. Moving away from the high-end fixtures and fittings throughout the fit out, the Tabcorp business placed a huge emphasis on Tech. 87 Rooms are AV enabled, 36 TV's measuring almost 40m side by side where installed, this is just a few meters short of the height of the statue of Liberty, These TV's made up 4 large video walls setup in reception, SYSOPS, Race-day and command centre. Approximately 225km of Siemon CAT 6a cable was installed to thousands on devices, new state of the art main comms room complete with N+1 UPS system, hot isle containment, and Generator backed power, three world class digital IP radio studios, and 2 state of the art virtual TV studios. The work space is next level and really needs to be seen to be believed.
